Sr Mechanical Systems Design/Engineer
Mechanical system design of high speed print or assembly or packaging systems consisting of conveyors, belt, motion control, align, pick and place, sorting etc...
Duties include:
• Machine Design – design and develop custom assemblies and machines, from concept through manufacturing and testing, including modeling parts and assemblies in 3D. Autodesk Inventor or other parametric software proficiency required.
• Construct accurate & complete BOM based on designs that conform to cost and performance objectives
• Maintain documentation including assembly drawings and bills of material in ERP software
• Working within the project budgetary guidelines.
• Part and Assembly Drawings – create detailed drawings for use in fabrication, assembly, and customer documentation.
• Interface with manufacturing and assembly to ensure parts are machined and installed in conformance with design
• Layout Drawings – create machine installation and layout drawings using AutoCAD
• Parts and Vendor Research – research new technology and components and interact with vendors or distributors as needed.
• Assembly Support – must be able to work in an assembly environment with technicians to assist test and debug machinery.
• Provide Technical and Sales Support - both internally and externally with customers.
Skills and qualifications desired:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
• Approx. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment that involved dynamic mechanical system design, high speed print, assembly, packaging consisting of conveyors, belt, motion control, align, pick and place, Mail sorting, etc
• Demonstrated skill in automated machine design using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D modeling software
• Demonstrated performance with AutoCAD design software
• Mastery in 3D design of mechanical parts
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and assembly operations is required
• Knowledge of high speed motion control, align, pick and place, sensors, Printing, mail sorting or packaging machinery or very similar are +++
• Must be capable of multitasking in a rapid paced environment with changing priorities
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear and positive communicator
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Ability to prioritize tasks driven by deadlines and urgency, and work independently as a specialist with minimal supervision or guidance
• Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office products

Mechanical Mfg Engineer-Mfg/Build and Assembly of High speed assembly systems....
Manufacturing Engineer-Experience in the build/assembly of any type of Assembly systems, packaging systems, High speed sort, lable, seal, fill, motion control, or packaging type systems. The manufacturing Eng will be working on 3-5 systems at a time in various levels of assembly/completion. Each system takes approx 2-4 months to assemble from contract award to delivery.
Responsibilities include:
• Machine Shop – aid in fabrication and quality control of custom parts, assemblies and machines
• Equipment - Advise and coordinate purchase, installation and training on new equipment as it pertains to manufacturing

• Knowledge of packaging machinery, as well as shrink film printing and converting considered assets
• Must be capable of multitasking in a rapid paced environment with changing priorities
• Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Ability to prioritize tasks driven by deadlines and urgency, and work independently as a specialist with minimal supervision or guidance
